Before & After School Care

Seton Center's School Age programs  in Brookline and Whitehall provide both before and after school care and activities for children ages five through twelve years old in a relaxed atmosphere that encourages friendship and self-esteem. Our staff of resourceful, caring adults seeks to provide youngsters with a balance of recreational and educational activities and the "quiet time" necessary to do their homework and simply relax. That same type of balance is also fostered through recognizing respect for and the value of each person, while promoting a positive self-confidence and sense of independence. And we are always ready to meet with parents or guardians to discuss the needs of any child.

During the school year:

• Children are offered breakfast before school.
• Transportation both to and from school is provided for students at three nearby schools.
• After-school activities include tutoring, homework time, a snack, and recreation until parents arrive.

Seton Center's Brookline location provides transportation to and from school to the following local schools:

• Brookline Elementary
• Carmalt Academy of Science and Technology
• West Liberty Elementary

Baldwin-Whitehall and Keystone Oaks families can arrange for district bus transportation to/from Seton Center's Whitehall location and their school.

At these two locations, Seton Center provides more than 120 school-age children (ages 5-12) with a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment that supplements their schooling.

Summer Program

An enriched summer day program ensures that children maintain their educational momentum in a relaxed environment.  Special activities highlight each day. Children are provided breakfast and an afternoon snack that conform with Child Care Food Program guidelines. Any other nourishment is provided by parents/guardians.
